GALERIA KONKRET AR.T is delighted to invite you to visit the NUMERICAL ART 2026: CRITICAL FANTASY hybrid exhibition.
The opening of the virtual exhibition will take place on May 14, 2026, at 16:00 in the Museum of Contemporary Art, National Museum in Szczecin at 1 Staromłyńska Street, Szczecin
The Polish Society for Aesthetics, together with its partners, invites you to the opening of the international art-based research exhibition Numerical Art 2026: Critical Fantasy, realised as a virtual exhibition environment accessible through VR technologies. The event is part of the DIGITAL TWIN panel within the final mobility of the CAPHE project (Communities and Artistic Participation in Hybrid Environments) in Poland.
Numerical Art is an international art-based research project developed since 2022, dedicated to transformations in artistic practice in the era of computational technologies, immersive environments, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The latest edition focuses on the relationships between sculpture, materiality, code, and virtuality.
The works presented result from the digitisation of physical objects — sculptures, textiles, installations and assemblages — which are subsequently transformed computationally, thereby acquiring new modes of existence within virtual space. The exhibition explores the potential of digital environments as spaces where objects can function beyond the constraints of gravity, stability or fixed scale.
Critical Fantasy approaches imagination not as an escape from reality but as a critical tool – a method for designing alternative relationships among matter, perception and technology.
